CLINICAL EVALUATION PROGRAMME

We would like to invite all AKU patients in the UK to give consideration to undertaking the Clinical Evaluation programme at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital.  This involves 3 days of comprehensive tests and you will be staying on Ward 2C for two nights.

The feedback from the participants so far has been very positive and below is a link to an article written by Jennifer Wright about her account of the clinical evaluation.

One patient commented that it was “the best MOT he has had” in terms of extensive tests purely based on the effects of Alkaptonuria on the various joints and very comprehensive and worthwhile.

If you would like any further information please contact Bev Hebden, Project  Manager at the Alkaptonuria Information Centre on 0151 706 4387 or bev@alkaptonuria.info

Many thanks and we look forward to meeting you in the near future.
